Reciprocal Membership with Australian Distillers Association
The Australian Distillers Association (ADA) are the national industry association representing the distilling sector in Australia. By becoming a member of Distillers SA you automatically receive reciprocal membership benefits with the national association and have even more access to a growing array of member benefits. This includes;
Become part of a larger voice – ADA lobby governments at the federal and state level to influence government policy in support of a safe and vibrant spirits sector, which protects your interests and creates opportunities for economic growth for your business and the industry.
Professional development – Attend training, workshops and events at special member rates including the Safety in Distilling courses, WSET and Cert IV in Artisan & Fermented Products (Distilling). Also gain access to a free resource library of toolkits and guides developed to guide safety and operations in distilling and the hive mind knowledge of distillers across Australia via our online member forums.

Member Categories
You can choose your correct membership level from the five categories listed below.
Establishing $300 p.a (exc GST) – Non-Voting
This is for new members who have begun the distilling journey, are in the process of establishing their business and have sold less than 1,000 bottles.
There is a maximum of two years you can be in this category of membership, at that time, you automatically become a small producer, subject to meeting eligibility requirements, even if you have not sold any product, or your membership lapses. You are required to advise the Company once more than 1,000 bottles have entered the home market.
Small Producer $850 p.a (exc GST) – Voting
Any producer who is in production of spirit and the production that enters the home market is below the Alcohol Manufacturers Remission, which is $350,000 at time of establishment.
Medium Producer $1,250 p.a (exc GST) – Voting
Any producer who produces volume to exceed the automatic remission at any time in the current financial year or is projected to exceed the automatic remission at any time in the year.
Large Producer $2,300 p.a (exc GST) – Voting
Any commercial producer that exceeds 50,000 LALs of production in any 12-month period.
Industry & Trade $750 p.a (exc GST) – Non-Voting
This category of membership is for related supply chain who are in an aligned industry and share our philosophies and values. You can access Distillers SA member benefits at this level if your Head Office is based in SA, or you pay an additional fee per annum to do so.
